I'm Sherine from Sher Takes Care, and my passion is capturing real stories, just as they are. All about your weddingday
As a documentary and storytelling photographer, my focus is on capturing your authentic story and the atmosphere of the day. It's the story of love that unfolds on your wedding day, a day filled with emotions taking center stage. I'm like a chameleon, blending in with your guests and capturing those perfect moments.
To fully capture the entire story, I love being there from the moment your day begins, as you prepare for the big day, all the way through to the energetic dancing on the dance floor. Believe me, these are moments you'll want to be immortalized.

All photos are precisely edited in my style to form a cohesive collection. You'll receive them in an online gallery to share with your friends and family. Additionally, all my packages include a luxury wedding album. My style is documenting, pure, casual and atmospheric.
I have the honor of having already won a number of (International) wedding photography awards. Something I am immensely proud of. It is still special that an independent jury appreciates my work!
At the beginning of 2024, I had the great pleasure of receiving the jury prize from the Top Trouwbedrijven Awards as the best wedding photographer in the Netherlands.
Personally, I'm a true outdoor enthusiast, always happiest spending the entire day outside and experiencing new adventures. So, if you have an incredible outdoor wedding location in mind or even a destination wedding abroad, I'd love to accompany you and make your adventure unforgettable.
It would be amazing to capture your love story and eventually present it in a beautifully luxurious wedding album handmade in The Netherlands, where you'll get lost as the main principles of your own love story.
Spontaneous wedding photos on your big day
As a documentary wedding photographer, my focus is primarily on capturing the different (emotional) stories and magical moments of your wedding day. I don’t direct anything and let everything unfold naturally, ensuring that the photos truly reflect your story.
There is one part of the day where I will guide you: the part most couples find nerve-wracking and awkward beforehand: the photoshoot.
I want to take away that nervousness right now. With my unique approach, using fun prompts, playful questions, and movement, your photos will always look spontaneous, intitmate and natural. No couple has ever told me in advance that they feel completely at ease in front of the camera – and I have plenty of experience with that by now. And don’t worry: I will never ask you to look at the camera and smile. (If I ever do, you’ll get a cake and a bottle of champagne from me. 😉)
During a introduction meeting, I will explain in more detail how we can ease this tension in advance, for example, with a pre-wedding shoot.
1. Application/availability check
2. A nice introduction where we really take the time to get to know each other better. I prefer to do this during a live meeting, but if it suits you better it can also be done online.
3. E-mail with all discussed options including quotation and customised timetable.
4. Quote approved? Deposit paid? = Your wedding date is confirmed!
5. Four weeks before the wedding you will receive a questionnaire + a fun assignment.
6. Two weeks before your wedding, we will have an online preparation meeting where we will finalize the details and go over the planning of the day together.
7. YOUR WEDDING!
8. You will receive the remaining invoice the day after the wedding.
9. You will receive a preview of your special day within 1 week (options for faster and bigger previews possible).
10. Within 6-8 weeks you will receive the entire online gallery that you can easily share with friends and family.
11. I will design your album. I will send it later and take you through the album process (no need to think about it now;)).
12. Schedule an album date and say 'goodbye'.

What do you mean by documentary photography style?
Nowadays there are a lot of photography styles in photography land. I identify myself as a storytelling & documentary wedding photographer. This is all about the pure moments, where emotions, connections and feelings are the common thread in your wedding story. Throughout the day I feel, observe and photograph your love for each other and your loved ones.
On average, how much does a wedding photographer cost?
Jullie zijn er vast al achter gekomen dat er een wijde range zit in het aanbod onder de trouwfotografen. Dit ligt aan verschillende factoren: ervaring, kwaliteit en professionaliteit. Hoe hoger het bedrag van jullie trouwfotograaf hoe hoger het niveau van deze drie pijlers. Mijn gemiddelde offerte staat boven de 3000,- voor een bruiloft van 12 uur fotografie. Hiermee kost ik meer dan een gemiddelde trouwfotograaf in Nederland, maar scoor ik hoog op het gebied van ervaring, kwaliteit en professionaliteit. Met allemaal in het achterhoofd: jullie trouwalbum is dé tastbare herinnering voor het leven.
How long in advance should you book a wedding photographer?
Most wedding photographers are booked about 12 to 18 months in advance. Especially the popular months of May, June, July and September fill up faster. You can find even more tips on booking your perfect wedding photographer in my blog.
Why having a second photographer at a wedding
To relive the story of your wedding from multiple perspectives, a second photographer (also known as a second shooter) is an enrichment. The main photographer always ensures that the “big moments” are captured and where time that the small moments (which are of great value) are captured in a creative way. By having a second photographer at your wedding, you increase the numbers of creative, unique and personal stories that make your wedding even more alive.
What is a good time to get married?
As a wedding photographer, most booked weddings are in May, June, July and September. These are the most popular months, but that doesn't mean you have to go along with them. Outside of these months, there is often more availability with wedding suppliers and you also don't have to plan as far in advance. So a little off the beaten path can't hurt!
What not to forget when you get married?
There's a whole list for that, but what I want to give you most of all: Enjoy the whole process. It may feel like a lot at times, but know that you have the time and it is the preparations that will make your wedding unforgettable. Also: above all, let your feelings speak! They are always right :)
